Hey, everyone I want to share a couple of recipes for ya I found online… We alway’s have Cornbeef and cabbage during this time of year, so, ofcourse I added that! But there also seems to be another one I would like to try, when I get the chance… And that’s the Roasted Potatoes and Bacon ” I suppose you could add a little green food coloring to the potatoes!” Anyway, I also wanted to add for dessert some St. Patricks Day Cupcakes!! The recipe for that Is down below… ” You could print it out, may make it easier for you”
On top of that, if you click on the Pot of Gold at the top of this post! There’s a St. Patrick’s Day Wordsearch I created for you guy’s!! I will also put a link to it at the bottom of this post, along with the links to the couple of recipes I mentioned earlier!! Well, I’m going to start slow cooking my Corn Beef now so that it will be nice and tender by dinner time!!

St. Patrick’s Day Cupcakes
1 3/4 c. all purpose flour
3/4 c. miniature chocolate chips
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 beaten eggs
1/2 c. cooking oil
1/2 of can cream cheese frosting
Green M and M’s
1 (4 serving) size instant pistachio pudding mix
2/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Green colored sugar
Line muffin cups with paper cups. In large mixing bowl stir together flour, pudding mix, chocolate pieces, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In small bowl combine beaten eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Stir into flour mixture just until combined. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake in a 375 degrees oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire rack. Frost, sprinkle with green sugar and then add M and M’s on top.
Well, the week-end is over :-( ends way to fast!! Oh, well I’ve been doing some thinking “Could be dangerous!!” LOL. Anyway, I thought about it and said to myself… Well, I gave you guys my ideas on setting up a Webkinz style Party theme… “But what about some Games or Activities!” So, here are a few that I and all my cousins have some fun with! I hope all you have just as much fun as we do with these cool games!! First-off we always start off with tag…” While everyone still has quite a bit of energy!” Webkinz Tag to be exact!!
This is how you play Webkinz Tag:
One of your Webkinz buddies is it. Their soul job is is to chase after the other players and tag them. When someone is tagged, ofcourse now they are it. Now, everyone who gets involved can avoid being tagged by saying the name of a Webkinz character right before the person who is ‘it’ tags them. So, just by Saying the name of a character from Webkinz this prevents the player from becoming ‘it.’ And like-wise the next person has to say a totally different Webkinz character than the one before in order to be safe. So, go ahead! and get as many people as possible… The more the better! “Thats it!!” Have Fun
Here’s a really cool one to play! It’s called Where’s Wacky:
All you need… Is about 20 pieces of 8 1/2″ x 11″ cardstock or “Construction Paper” but I prefer cardstock it’s easier to deal with! Now, all you have to do is roughly draw some of the characters onto the cardstock ” doesent have to be perfect” 2 of each Character ” so you will end up with pairs” So, if at all possible try and get them to resemble one another fairly close! Now all you need is a couple of friends… And a large place to spread out in to play.
Ok, you will now need to spread all the cards “Face Down!” Mix them around a bit… Now just start off by taking turns. Turn over 2 cards at a time, and see if you can get a match! If you don’t just try and remember where those cards were so on your next turn you may find a match! Now, if you do find a match “Yaaayy” you get to keep those cards facing up! At the end of the game who ever has the most pairs of cards is the winner!! ” But in reality you are all winners!! :-)”
This one is sooooo much fun!! it’s called Dr. Quacks Assistant:
What you need for this is: To draw a picture of a Webkinz who is sick with one of three ailments - Either a runny nose, or a bump on the head, or a scraped up knee. Then, make a few ice-packs out of paper… A few bandages, medicine bottles ( all can be made from paper.) you will also need… some masking tape, a blindfold, and most important some friends!!
Once you have everything together… Blindfold one of your friends and start to spin him or her around gently. Now, stick some masking tape on the back of the ice pack, bandage or medicine bottle ( whichever cure will help the sick webkinz). Hand the cure to your friend and turn him or her toward the picture of the Webkinz. All your friend needs to do is pin the correct remedy on the correct part of the Webkinz - if the Webkinz has a runny nose, the medicine bottle needs to go on the nose. If the Webkinz has a bump on his head, the ice-pack needs to go on the bump. Now, if the Webkinz has a scraped up knee ” You Guessed It” the bandage goes on the knee. So, whoever gets the cures all in the right places wins the game!! ” A great game to take outside, and get some wonderful Sun!!”
Well, times running short and I have to get some other stuff done today… But, I hope that this helps you guys out a bit when deciding what kind of activities you want to play at your Webkinz Bash!! I will try and add some more in the following weeks! So stay tuned!! Have a great Week!!
Hey, everyone I went down to my cousins right after my classes let out for the day… And found her messing around with the new Beanie Babies site that was put up to compete against Webkinz… She told me she just wanted to see what it was all about! Anyway, she didn’t care much for it… Said it was not as user friendly as Webkinz and found that you can use the mouse to drag objects… But you have to use the arrows on your keyboard to move your character ” Found it to be a pain!” and the constant reaching into your backpack for keys to unlock certain areas ”as if that wasn’t bad enough!” The time that it took to retrieve the object was amazingly slow!” Also, your character looks quite sickly… As if there’s no life to it! Another thing she found was that all the locations are only as big as your screen with no side scrolling or real depth of any kind!
Just watching her play around with it… I was not impressed! The story line “narrative” If there was one I sure didn’t see it and niether did she LOL! But, I would say probably the thing that bothered me the most about this attempt to compete with Webkinz World is the fact that they are pushing you to by more toys in order to unlock certain areas which I found to basically be one big sales pitch! ” At least in my eyes…Thats what it seems to be!” I also found with Beanie Babies, Just to finish the initial basic quest “guest what!” You have to buy at least three more Beanie Baby toys “C-Mon!!” If this doesen’t frustrate parent’s and children ” What are you guy’s thinking!” Anyway, what it all boils down to… Is that  they are grasping at straws and it will hurt them in the long run instead of helping them gain a following! ”Sorry about Ranting here!!” But all I really see with Beanie Babies 2.0 along with my cousin is one awful sales pitch!! “Not the way to go… If you want to try and compete with our Lovable Webkinz!!:-) Anyway, you guys on a happier note I have created a little Wordscramble puzzle for ya!!
